On August 15th members of the Cascumpec Bay Watershed will be deploying a Water-Gate portable dam. This device will be used to stop the water from flowing to certain parts of the brook allowing members to easily clean silt traps within the brook. Water-Gate portable dams are very effective and do not cause any damage to the surrounding environment or animals as they do not reroute the water or require any areas of trees to be removed.  Light as a feather and simple to set-up – this coffer dam will prove to save time and man-power in future projects.
